Myanmar Engineering Society(MES) is located between MICT Park Hlaing Compus and Zwekabin Examination Board Department in Hlaing University region in Hlaing Township . MES Training Center is organized at technical division group 6 in MES.
President of MES Training Center management committee is U Than Myint and Vice President is U Than Htun Aung. MES Training Center planned to lecture the engineering course for the development and enhancement of engineering technique. Guide line for Young Engineer(YE) course was lectured from 12.3.2009 to 14.3.2009 . Rules of engineer that an engineer should know , functions and matters of MES, the matters about an engineer should know are lectured . Thirty-Six students attended in this class. Orientation course for Civil Engineer level 2 course was lectured from 10 AM to 3 PM on the weekends, from 7.3.2009 to 13.9.2009. There have 38 students attended. The courses were opened for the engineers about to enter to the side. The lecturers are the experienced Senior Engineers U Nyunt Maung San , U Aung Myint , U Ko Ko Gyi, U Khin Maung Chit and U Tin Shwe from MES. Short course 1 on earthquake design course was lectured from 30.3.2009 to 7.4.2009. A.G.T.I, BE, and Interesting MES members were permitted to this course. This course was lectured to produce the earthquake resistant building design. Lecturers U Win Aung Cho, Dr.Htin Aung, Dr.Nyan Myint Kyaw, Dr.Tin Tin Win, Dr.Myint Thein and U kyaw Htun lectured this course. Short Course 2 on earthquake design course was lectured from 4.5.2009 to 8.5.2009. In this course , 50 students attended Dr.Myint Thein (Patrons, Myanmar Earthquake Committee). One of the director members masters Mr.Gregory A.MacRae (Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering, University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand), Pror.Sudhir K Jian and Prof.Durgesh CoRai at (Department of Civil Engineering , India Institute of Technology kanpur) of India. This course was opened by the coordination of World Seismic Safety Initiatives(WSSI) MES. MES give the Handouts of all of the course that were lectured in MES to Ministry of department after functioning the course for the engineers to attend.
