Myanmar Engineering Society (Mandalay Branch-Office) was established on 29th June,2003.Firstly, it was located at Room(19),3rd Floor,Yadanabone market,then transferred to the 2nd floor of Shwe Phyu Plaza which is located at 33rd street , between 77th and 78th Street on 5th May,2008.

The executive committee meeting was held monthly and membership committee, fund committee and technological distribution committee were organized. During 2007 and 2008 the technological distribution committee lead to held for the celebration of -Technological Speechs and Reading Seminars -Technigical Courses -Writing themes in the technological journals -Excurisons to the engineering related fields projects around the mandalay -Going to industrial zone to advise and share technological knowledges to relative persons. Monthly Meeting of Myanmar Engineering Society (Mandalay) was held 6 times exactly during a year from 1st January 2008 to 6th December 2008.The rate of collecting MES(Mandalay) new members from 1.1.2008 to 6.12.2008 was 173 members and member life extensions were 20 and total of 193 members.
Donations for supporting to the victims of Nargis natural disaster was accepted from the members and donated 200,000 kyat’s by the Myanmar Engineering Society (Center).In 17.10.2008 , Member’s funds were opened an account in Cooperated Bank with the name of President , Secretary , and financier.
In holding the ceremony of organizing the Young Engineering Society, 28 students attended and selected and organized the Young Engineer Organization leaders. In 28.7.2008, Mandalay sub-office chairman U Saw Lwin and coordinated secretary U Htay Myint attended to the ceremony of Myanmar Engineering Society (TaunGyi) opening.
In 16.9.2008, coordinated general secretary U Htay Myint from Myanmar Engineering Society (Mandalay) and coordinated auditor Daw Saw Yu Wai attended to the consultant ceremony of Myanmar Engineering Society (Center) Work Shop On Development of Pollution Control Mechanism.
In 21.9.2008, Regional Development Research Project Discussion Ceremony was held in Myanmar Engineering Society (Mandalay). 18. August. 2008, assistant chairman senior general U Nyman Hun from Myanmar Engineering Society (Centre) and the Executives from Myanmar Engineering Society (Mandalay) went to the Mandalay Industrial Zone and Monywa Industrial Zone and consulted about the improving the qualities of iron nail used in building, managing systematically to the Industrial Wastes, testing and producing the Hover Craft vehicles and driving the vehicles with Ethanol.
In 2008, We took the excursion journey to the
-Ye Ywar hydraulic power electricity project
-Myanmar Elephant branch Cement factory (Oon Chaw village) and
-Steel factory. |
Holding Product Exhibition 2009 of MES (Branch-Office Mandalay)
By the leading of MES (Center), Engineering Education Production Technique and Product Exhibition 2009 ceremony was held in City Development Committee Exhibition Hall 1 from March 20th to 22nd.
Exhibition ceremony on 20th , MES (Center) President U Han Zaw presented and explained about the Engineering Education , Production Technique and Product Exhibition . And the, Mandalay Mayor Commodore Phone Zaw Han, MES(Center) President U Han Zaw, President U Saw Lwin(Mandalay Sub-Office) started the Exhibition ceremony (2009) by cutting ribbon.
President Mayor Commodore Phone Zaw Han from Mandalay City Development Committee and other responsible persons , MES(Center) President U Han Zaw and other Central Committee, President U Saw Lwin (Mandalay Sub-Office) and Central Committee and Departmental responsible persons saw around the Exhibition Halls and encouraged.
And then, in the first, Upper Myanmar Engineering presentation of MES(Mandalay Sub-Office). Immediate Past President Than Myint lectured the professional Engineer, Natural Hazard in Myanmar and introduction to earthquake design and Central Executive Dr.Sein Myint lectured the present status water technology in Myanmar. On March 22nd, General Secretary U Aung Myint lectured the Regional Road Transportation network in Myanmar and Vice President U Win Khaing lectured Renewable Energy Saving Technology respectively.
Technical Seminar on Engineering Education Process and Product show of MES(Mandalay Sub-Office) 36 Exhibitions from Engineering Companies and Exhibition Book and Young Engineer(YE) souvenior shop from MES(Center) were displayed.
