Day Myanmar Primary School, possessed a strange name is in Nyaung Ngu village, Kwan Chan Gone Township, Yangon Division along the TwanTae-Kaw Hmu-Kwan Chan Gone Highway Road. Myanmar Engineering Society leaded and reconstructed the new building with the supporting of related departments instead of the damaged wooden hostel because of Nargis Natural Disaster. The steel and concrete building with the length of 80’, width of 30’, and height of 12’ was constructed by the co-donation of local and oversee donors.
With the purpose of reconstructed building must be better than the origin and the option of school, office and hospital must be firmed, the steel and concrete building was considered to build. When making the engineering design, earthquake resistance was considered beside the weather resistance because Kwan Chan Gone Township is on the earthquake region. The foundation was constructed 3-feet above the ground so that it can avoid the flooding .So the building will be the school at the normal period and the Cyclone Shelter at the emergency condition.
In constructing the Day Myanmar Primary School, normal brick type was used to construct the foundation and the Interlocking Block was used to construct the upper portion of the building with the supporting of steel and concrete.
